IRS Delays Portion of Healthcare Reform

The Internal Revenue Service has delayed a key provision of the Health Care Reform bill.

Employers with over 50 employees were to pay a penalty for not providing medical insurance to their employees.  The $2000.00 penalty per full time employee for non-compliance is now scheduled to start in 2015.

The health care reform process is fluid and changes from time to time.  We will provide more information when it becomes available.  This was announced on July 2, 2013 on http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-drop/n-13-45.PDF.  Be sure to check for any changes in your particular tax situation.
