Earlier today, I had a short chat with someone about financial modeling.
They specified that they had a strong accounting system, but couldn’t tell me how many units they had manufactured or sold.
That’s not a strong accounting system.
A robust accounting system should tell you how much, when, and to who you sold products. If you don’t know that basic information, it’s going to be a problem if you want your company to grow.
Heck, you might not even pass a state tax audit. Forget about growing.
Track your sales and units people! It’s fundamental to running a business.
